Lock Information and Specifications
A high quality heavy duty commercial grade narrow backset mortise lock series capable of meeting the requirements of a vast array of lever handle designs and are available in 1¼", 1½", 1¾", 2" and 2¼" backsets.
The 8805 Series incorporate a standard 1¼" wide faceplate and are designed for doors 1¾" thick and greater. They may also be ordered with a 1" wide faceplate designed for doors 1 ⅜" thick and greater on request. A universal curved lip strike for hollow metal and wood frame construction conforms to ANSI Standard A 115.1, 4.875 × 1.25" (124 × 32 mm) lip to center. Flat lip, special length and custom strikes may also be ordered to accommodate various project conditions and requirements.
The 8805 Series employ highcarbon steel compression springs for long life and durability of service. Hubs are fabricated of solid brass. Cases are designed to accommodate FSB through bolted trim for positive alignment with the lock case. The 8805 Series are regularly furnished with a ¾" throw one-piece mechanical heavy-duty latch bolt.
Faceplates and strikes are fabricated standard in nonmagnetic 304 alloy stainless steel. Brass or bronze substrates and most decorative finishes may be had on a special order basis.
The 8805 Series are not UL listed and should only be specified for applications not requiring a fire-rated or UL listed lockset. The 8805 Series are the best choice for any building where safety, security and design compatibility are prime considerations.
All mortise locks are compatible with most US cylinders. When using other brands of cylinders, they must be supplied with an FSB compatible cam.
Face cutouts and center to center dimensions are subject to variation. Always review trim requirements prior to door preparation.
