FSB was established over 120 years ago in Brakel, Germany, originally manufacturing furniture fittings. In 1910 FSB produced itst door hardware, and since then has become one of the leading manufacturers of architectural hardware in Europe. We currently produce over 10,000 products in aluminum, stainless steel, and brass.
Because the demand for FSB design has dramatically increased outside of Europe, FSB has established 40 offices in countries around the world.
FSB uses the most advanced automated production technology in the industry, and the new aluminum anodizing process we use in finishing may be the most sophisticated and environmentally friendly in the world. FSB has accepted the challenge of meeting the highest quality and environmental standards in the industry. We have adopted technology to use rain water in our anodizing process with less than one percent loss, and to use natural salts as sealants rather than toxic chemicals. In addition, the coating on our final product is three to ten times as thick as the typical chrome plating found in other manufacturers’ products. FSB has invested tens of millions of dollars on this effort, which has culminated with the award of both ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certification.
